Do I have to buy software when I take a Citigroup OnLine Learning class?
Most Citigroup OnLine Learning online instructor-led classes require software. Photoshop, Visual
Basic, Access, Illustrator, to name a few. The class itself is
centered around the software, so you really do need it. If you can't
get the software, then we suggest that you audit the class instead of
taking it as a full student.
How do I find out which software I need?
Go to the Citigroup OnLine Learning Course Catalog and look
up the class you're taking. Under Requirements you'll see
the software title listed.
Where can I get the software I need?
The Store does not sell software. Most computer and software
stores carry the software you need. Also check out computer magazines
and Web sites like Computer Shopper
for great software prices.
Can I use an older version of the software?
Because computers and technology change so fast, using an older version of a software application
can lead to lots of confusion and mistakes. Make sure you have the software version
specified in the class requirements (in the Course Catalog).
What can I do if I'm having trouble with the software (installing, getting it to run)?
Contact your software vendor for technical support with installation,
setup, error messages and other technical issues. Hint: If you're
in class and need a little help understanding a particular concept,
visit the community forum for your class.
The students, staff and community forum moderators in our Citigroup OnLine Learning community are a great
resource and enjoy helping each other out.
