Do I have to buy a book when I take an Citigroup OnLine Learning class?
Most Citigroup OnLine Learning classes require a book. You could choose not to buy the book, but then following the
class discussion and reading the lessons will be much more difficult, if not impossible. Keep in mind
that usually instructors won't cover a topic in class if it's covered in the book! So you should
definitely get the book required for the class. (If you don't want to buy the book,
we ask that you audit the class instead.) 
How do I find out which book I need?
Go to the Citigroup OnLine Learning Course Catalog and look up the class you're
taking. Under Requirements, you'll
see the book title listed. It's linked right to the bookstore, so you can order it easily.
How does Citigroup OnLine Learning choose which book to use for a class?
We choose course books from a variety of publishers and authors, always searching for the best book
we can find on that particular topic. Often, instructors will recommend books in their area of
expertise, or editors at Citigroup OnLine Learning will do the same. And of course, we love to get book recommendations
from students too!
Can I use an older edition of the book?
Because computers and technology change so fast, using an old edition of a computer book
can lead to lots of confusion and mistakes. The instructor decides which
edition of the book to use, so make sure you have the exact edition that's specified in the requirements
for the class (in the Course Catalog). Always remember
that the requirements for a class can change. It is important to check the correct
class section for exact requirements.
Can I use an off-the-shelf software book on the same subject?
You will need the required book to keep up with the reading and other
tasks assigned by the instructor. However, it is always a good idea to
supplement your learning experience by reading related books and materials,
many of which can be found in our Store.
How do I order a book?
- Register for an online instructor-led class (some workshops
may require a textbook).
- Click Order This Book to purchase the required textbook.
This takes you to the exact page for the book you're ordering.
- Add the book to your shopping cart by clicking shopping cart to the right
of the specified title.
- Click Checkout. The Checkout page will display.
- Complete the billing and shipping information, then click Continue.
(* indicates a required field.)
- Click the arrow in the Shipping Method drop-down list box to
select your shipping method. (If you need more information on shipping methods and
cost, click the arrow next to Shipping Information).
- Complete the payment information payment
method, then click Place Order.
- Your order # displays with a message stating the order has been confirmed and payment
has been authorized. (If your order
was not processed see purchasing errors.
How do I pay for the book?
We accept Visa, MasterCard, Discover, American Express, Diners Club and Purchase Orders at
the Store. We use a secure server, so your credit card information is
safe.
Note: If your Training Administrator has assigned a Purchase Order # to your account, the
PO # will display in the Payment Option box.
How long will it take to get the book? What are the shipping charges?
That depends on what shipping option you select when placing your order.
Store General Shipping Information
- All Store orders are shipped Monday through Friday only. No weekend deliveries on any orders (including 2nd Day Air and Next Day Air).
- Ship Time begins when the product is shipped from the warehouse, not when the order is placed.

- Sales tax will be added to the final amount for applicable states.
- Ground shipment is not available to Alaska, Hawaii, Puerto Rico, US Virgin Islands and other US Protectorates.
2nd Day Air and Next Day Air (Overnight) are available to those areas, but require an additional 1-2 business days in shipping time.
- Shipments to PO Boxes are sent by United States Postal Service (USPS) only.
- Shipments to APO/FPO addresses are sent by United States Postal Service (USPS) Priority Mail. Ship time is 3 to 6 business days, but is not guaranteed.

My book order is late! How do I find out where it is?
You can check your order status after you've successfully
completed the order process. You'll need the order number
provided during the ordering process to check your order status.
You must also be logged in to Citigroup OnLine Learning to check your order status.
To check your order status:
- Go to the Store from the navigation bar at Citigroup OnLine Learning .
- Click Order Status in the Store navigation bar.
- Enter your order number and password in the appropriate textbox.
- Click Submit.
- View your order status on the Order Status page.
If your book doesn't arrive before class starts, don't worry. You can usually catch up as soon as
you do get the book. All the lessons, assignments, and discussions will still be in the classroom when
you're ready to join in.
